රනිල් කැසිනෝ බදු නොගනී - Much advertised casino tax not collected .


The UNP-led government had failed to make good its promises as it had failed to collect Rs. 65 billion in taxes especially from casinos, former Badulla District United People’s Freedom Alliance MP, Dilan Perera said. 
Perera, who is now on the UPFA national list, challenged the government to prove it had made an attempt in the supplementary budget to boost the state revenue through taxes on casinos and luxury houses. "Not even a gazette has been issued there in this regard," he told a media briefing at the Opposition Leader’s Office in Colombo yesterday.
He said Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe was also responsible for bond scam at the Central BankThe import of ethanol had increased twofold during the last six months and 28 new licences had been issued since UNP came to power in January, the former Minister said.
He alleged that there two ethanol dealers among UNP candidates, one on the National List and the other in the fray.
UPFA National List candidate, Tissa Attanayake, asked UNP’s coalition partner, the Sri Lanka Muslim Congress (SLMC) to reveal its position on the TNA’s demand for devolution in excess of what was prescribed in the 13th Amendment.
Attanayake also asked the government to reveal its position on TNA’s proposal to release all arrested under the Prevention of Terrorism Act.
I would like to know the position of Champika Ranawaka and Ven. Athureliye Rathana Thera," he added.
